Yesterday I relayed the story of how I made my first sale as a freelance writer, and how it started me down my current path. While Associated Content gave me confidence to give freelance writing a try, it also introduced me to a wealth of resources – the best of which was InkwellEditorial.com.

I first found the tips from freelance writer Yuwanda Black on her AC page. It was easy (because of her setup) to find all of the other freelance writing guides that she has written over at her website and over on her blog. Now I do have some issues with the layout of her site (the main one – not her blog)but her content is wonderful! Thankfully Yuwanda is working with a designer now and I hope that will increase the readability of her site.

Here are some of her articles that I found particularly helpful when starting out:

The 7 Highly Effective and Profitable Habits of Successful Freelancers

How to Start and Maintain a Freelancer Career

How to Start a Freelance Writing Career in Less than 24 Hours for $0

Freelance Writer Fall Marketing Tutorial: How to Land More Writing Jobs

Besides her own freelancing efforts, Yuwanda has “guested” several articles that appear on http://www.bloggingtips.com (including todays post on revamping your blog design.) Currently, she is my number one inspiration for all things freelance. She isn’t afraid to let you in on “trade secrets” and I’ve found her blogs, articles and ebooks to be very informative. She also has some great advice for reaching for the next level – no matter what level of freelancing you currently are.
