Friday’s Fab Find: Wakeuplater.com

By • May 15th, 2009 • Category: The Blog

We’re starting a new happy habit here at WeeWebWork. Every Friday I’ll do a recap on the most fabulous resource I’ve found on the web in the last week. Appart from great blogging, writing, and freelancing links I’m hoping to include some links outside of the “freelance writing box” that apply to what we do. To start off our new happy habit I’ve chosen :10 Productivity Tips are Better Than 101” – from Wakeuplater.com

How I Will Become a Better Blogger in 2009

By • Jan 1st, 2009 • Category: The Blog

Welcome to WeeWebWork 2009! I hope you had a wonderful New Years and you’re ready to get working on some of those New Years Resolutions. I have decided as one of my goals that I want to work a little bit everyday in becomming a better blogger. I sat down, read my notes on becoming [...]

Give Thanks to a Blogger

By • Nov 25th, 2008 • Category: The Blog

We all have bloggers and writers who have inspired us. This week, with Thanksgiving only a few days away, I encourage all of you to give a little back. It can be a simple thanks, or just a note to say how much you appreciate their time and effort. Perhaps your favorite writer doesn’t have [...]

Occupation vs. Preoccupation

By • Nov 19th, 2008 • Category: The Blog

I think I’m in the middle of a transition. I’m trying to find ways to streamline freelance writing so that it is more of a business and not just a passion. I need to increase productivity so that this becomes a viable business and not just a way to earn extra cash. I also find [...]

Developing a Workspace

By • Nov 18th, 2008 • Category: The Blog

Since I started freelance writing about 2 1/2 months ago I’ve been using the kitchen table as my workspace. This has proved to be a disaster. With two children (ages 1 and 3) it has been practically impossible to work uninteruppted. In order to streamline my work (and my home) it’s time to develop an official workspace.

Sticking to Your Freelance Writing Goals

By • Nov 13th, 2008 • Category: The Blog

I’m beginning to think about goals for 2009. As Yuwanda writes in her latest Newsletter, becomming a successful freelance writer depends on what goals you select and how well you stick to them. Not necessarily the number of things you want to write, or clients you want to attract – but the concepts that those goals represent.

Why I Hate Advertisements

By • Nov 8th, 2008 • Category: The Blog

I spent a bit of time today surfing the web to find out what other Freelance Writers are blogging about. Do you know what stood out the most? The advertisements. I think I forgot most of what other writers were talking about because I was spending too much time looking at their ads. And they [...]

Oh no! My Website is Naked!

By • Nov 7th, 2008 • Category: The Blog

It’s perhaps one of my greatest faults that I like to post and create on the fly… at least when it comes to a publicly viewable website. Earlier this week I was both thrilled and terrified to see that Yuwanda from InkwellEditorial.com had stopped by. Thrilled because I think of her as one of my [...]

First Steps for Freelance Writers – Part 3

By • Nov 4th, 2008 • Category: The Blog

After selling my first article and being inspired by Inkwell Editorial, I searched the internet for a freelance job board. I found a couple of sites, and decided to try out Elance and Guru. I had very different experiences with each. Guru.com was a disapointment. The “free” service was clunky, and didn’t allow me to [...]

First Steps for Freelance Writers – Part 2

By • Nov 3rd, 2008 • Category: The Blog

Yesterday I relayed the story of how I made my first sale as a freelance writer, and how it started me down my current path. While Associated Content gave me confidence to give freelance writing a try, it also introduced me to a wealth of resources – the best of which was InkwellEditorial.com. I first [...]
